COURT MAINTENANCE

Once a month cleaning is suggested. Watch for evidence of molds, usually in shaded areas and corners where organic debris tends to accumulate. Indoor courts require both frequent vacuuming and at least one annual wet cleaning with mild detergent solution and soft bristled equipment.
Should molds (lumot) set in:

  • 2 parts household bleach, mixed with 1 part water. Use this solution to treat affected areas. Scrub gently with soft bristled brush and rinse thoroughly after a few minutes.
  •  Rinsing court with water is usually sufficient for general cleaning. If there are visible stains on the court surface, a mild detergent can be applied prior to gentle scrubbing with a soft bristled brush.

Here is a mild detergent formula:
Combine 4 parts water with 2 parts TSP (trisodium phosphate) and 1 part household beach, when mildew (amag) present.

Congratulations and thank you for choosing Procourt Acrypave!

While you can be sure that your court was installed with the utmost competence in workmanship and with World-Class products, the subsurface its sitting on is probably not installed in the ideal way that Procourt would have. So please do take a few minutes in getting to know what to expect immediately after installation and the care it needs to last for many years to come.

What to expect a few days after of installation:

Blisters/ bubbles

Blisters may appear on several spots of your newly installed Acrylic surface. Don’t panic just yet, bubbles and blisters on a newly installed tennis court surface, or other coated sport surface, are fairly common. The special membrane material, once fully cured, is created to be “breathable” which means a fair amount of water and gas can permeate thru it. So, if you see bubbles on your newly installed acrylic surface, it most probably just be a case of unfinished curing. Give it 4-5 more days of dry weather. You will notice the bubbles will become smaller and smaller as the material cures and solidifies fully. If the bubbles persist, despite time allowance, it may be a case of improper application for the particular spots, that in which case, Procourt is obliged to do a retouch for the areas affected.

Care instructions for your surface:

Tennis Court Surface Protection

Acrylic tennis courts require very little maintenance as they are very durable. However, by ensuring a clean court you’ll prevent troublesome problems in the future.

  • Keep the surface clean and dry. Regularly sweep the surface to keep it free of dried leaves, dirt twigs, and spilled food.
  • Be sure to spread water out from the depression spots after it rains or after cleaning.

Here are a few common items that are usually listed to prevent damage to court surfaces:

  • Use only non-marking tennis shoes on the courts.
  • No bikes, skateboards, or rolls skates on the playing surface.
  • No chewing gum, food, or non-water drinks.
